Holy crap there's a band called Huckleberry Finn, how awesome is that. They're Korean though so I don't understand a thing they say (and I don't even know what the name of the only song I have by them is...)
(don't really feel like putting this behind an lj-cut, it won't kill you to scroll past this on your friends page)
So I've been going to the University of Colorado at Denver for a good three weeks or so. It's not as bad as I imagined and I actually like the college atmosphere more than high school. As I expected there is a good amount of homework (though for me it's mostly notes, they aren't required but it helps me study).
Math For Liberal Arts
This class is pretty easy. It's mostly logic at this point and very much arithmetic. I was supposed to take College Algebra instead but math is my worst subject ever so I took the easier class. :P I got a 15/15 on the first quiz which makes me happy because I usually fail math tests.

Er...ya typical lecture class. We go to class and listen to a power point lecture while trying to madly scribble down notes since the teacher goes so fast and then leave (the professor lets us go when he finishes the lecture so we almost always leave early). I tried the first couple of time sto write down everything on the lecture but that's almost impossible so now I just try to write what the professor says that isn't on the power point and just copy the lecture from the .pdf he uploads to his website. We just had out first quiz last Wednesday over the first three chapters. I don't thing I did very well. It was multiple choice quiz and on almost half I wasn't too sure on my answer. Guess I should study more text time.
~*Lunch Time*~
So, I have this huge 4 hour break between classes. During this time I go lunch at the Tivoli where they have a food court with McDonalds, Subway, Taco Bell and some Japanese fast food place. I keep meaning to go to Subway so I can try to eat a little healthy but the line is always so LONG. So instead I end up going to the Japanese place and ordering a huge bowl of expensive teriyaki chicken. Seriously I spend $7 and I have yet to finish the entire thing because they pack so much rice in it. I tried to save the food I didn't eat once but I just made my backpack smell. I need to figure out a way to bring my own food because eating fast food twice a week is going to make me fat eventually.
So after lunch I go to library and do homework. The library is freakin huge. I used to like to find the most isolated couch at the furthest corner but then I found out that hobos like to hang out there so I just on the second floor where they have desks.
FYS: The Human Animal
This is one of those first year seminar things. It isn't related to my major or anything but the counselor encouraged everyone to take one of these classes. It's an anthropology class so we talk about monkeys and monkey sex. It's pretty interesting so far I guess. We already have a project due and I'm doing mine on Infantcide in Human Males. Sounds cruel but I wanted to pick a subject that wouldn't bore me...
Core Composition I
Oh god this class is awesome. The professor never shuts up and likes to bring in bobble heads from his collection. All we did last class was watch clips from Lone Ranger and Shane. The only work we've done is small quizzes over the reading he assigns from the book. The textbook is also pretty awesome compared to others (it's very casual and has lots of pretty pictures~). I've done horrible on the quizzes though because he likes to assign 40+ pages and I always end up skimming and not retaining most of the information. And yay there's no literature in this class! I think I've had a enough of that since that AP class...

Work still sucks. I'm so sick and tired of Ross. I don't even want to shop there even though I have discount card. I guess it's just certain people that shop there that get on my nerves...you know the kind of people that go in the fitting rooms with eight pieces of clothing and bring it back to you in a wrinkled pile instead of on the hangers...
I kind of miss my old job because it was just me at my station, I did not have to associate with the workers around me because I was always busy. I would have liked to stay there (the pay was much better) but they don't offer part time.
