Anime Post
Instead of doing my homework I decided to spend today catching up on Bleach. Man, it's so much better reading these looong Shounen Jump series in batches of 50 chapters or something instead of trying to keep up with the weekly chapters. When I first read Bleach I raced though 150+ chapters in 2 days so having to keep up with the weekly chapters was boring because it seems like it takes forever for something to happen.

Lately I've been seeing more and more people obsessing over this series called Katekyo Hitman Reborn. I remember reading a few chapters a few years back and thinking it was really weird (there's a baby assassin...that's in the mafia...). But the latest opening to the anime makes me really interested in the series. It looks sort of like Black Cat because of the gimmick-y weapons and powers. But, I'm afraid to read it because I'll probably end up liking it and the last thing I need is another series to obsess over and waste time on. D:

ALSO, some downloads:

- Shugo Chara! (Subbed by Formula)
Episode 1 (.avi)
Episode 2 (.mkv)*
- A new anime that just came out. Won't talk much about this since I've made a few posts about it already. ^^;; Just download it if you like magical girls and pink.

- Lalabel (Raw, Jap & Italian Audio)
Episode 1 (.avi)
- Old school magical girl anime. It's pretty doinky but I figured some people might enjoy it because it's so classic. It's old but the quality is quite good (the file is over 300MB).There's no English subs for this series to my knowledge. :( BTW, I have more episodes for this series so if you want more I'd be more than happy to upload them. :D

*To view .mkv files just download VLC player.

Fuck yeah
Just checked my grades online and I got a 98% on my first Psy mid-term. This completely makes up for the crappy weekend I had. :D

And nothing really blog-worthy has happened in a while, just working a lot, homework, studying and stuff. I did finally catch up on the aniem shows I'm following (Mononoke, Gurren Lagann and Precure 5). The Fall season started a week ago but the only thing that has grabbed my attention is Neuro and of course Shugo Chara!:

:Oh god I'm so sleepy. I woke up at 6 AM today to go to the light rail station extra early to find parking. D:

Anyway, school has been okay so far. I think my grades are poor so far though. For the first year seminar I've been bombing every single quiz that we've had to take on line. Also, for the last psychology quiz the professor let us take it online...but I only got a 16/20 which really makes me angry because it was an open book test so I should have been able to get a perfect score. Aaannnd for the math quiz today I forgot to study so I couldn't remember any of the formulas and ended up guessing on all of the problems. There are even more tests next week and then mid-terms the week after I believe. I really need to get my act together, I've been feeling so crappy lately because of school. :(

The only thing that sort of made my day better was the fact that I found a new manga to obsess over (yes I know I'm a dork). During my lunch break today I went to Barnes & Nobles to look for the 6th volume of Sugar Sugar Rune. It wasn't there though so I got Shugo Chara! instead. To tell the truth I've been meaning to check this manga out for a while because it's by PEACH-PIT and I'm a huge Rozen Maiden fan. I've read some of their other works as well but I didn't like them very much (DearS was just so wrong and awful, Zombie Loan was pretty average but it didn't keep me interested because the two main buys were jerks and the main girl was such a wimp). So I was really surprised by how much I enjoy Shugo Chara. The main character Amu is so refreshing from other shoujo heroines because she isn't a perfect sweetheart or a total clutz. All the characters in general are cute and quirky too (except Utau, I dunno I just really hate characters with a brother complex, it's creepy) I liked it so much that I could wait and ran back to the book store after school to get the second volume. xD And now I'm broke, oh why does manga have to be so expensive? Especially Del Ray manga which costs more than TokyoPop or Viz manga.  The story is actually a little magical girl-esque because of the transformations and stuff. Well basically the story is about a girl named Amu who only wants to be true to herself. But that becomes a little hard for her when 3 magical eggs appear one day and hatch into little "guardian characters". With these little guys Amu has the power to transform into some new. She doesn't like it very much at first because she feels she's being forced to turn into someone she isn't. It sounds strange (especially with the egg motif) but it's a really cute series. The story changes after a few chapters when the bad guys show up and Amu has to transform to hunt the X-eggs. I'm really bad at describing series, especially now that I'm ready to pass out, but it's a cute series I recommend it to everyone who wants to read something girly and fun (but ahhh the third volume doesn't come out until next year). There's also the anime series you can watch when it premieres in October.
